K9 Top Coat Waterproof Body Suit

Size 12

The Waterproof Rainsuit has indeed taken canine rain gear to new heights. Its superior quality and stylish design make this garment shine above the many other rain slickers and ill-fitting rain coats currently on the market. The Waterproof Rainsuit is made of state-of-the-art waterproof, breathable, stretchable material that comfortably protects your canine companion from the elements while enjoying the great outdoors. Made in the USA by a world-leading sportswear manufacturer, this micro-fleece lined garment covers all four legs, has excellent body coverage (including the abdomen) and comes with an optional hood attachment. This well designed bodysuit is easy to put on and take off and stays in place even during rugged play. Fits dogs 7 lbs to 160 lbs. Machine washable.

Uses and Benefits

  • Made of state-of-the-art waterproof, breathable, stretchable material.
  • Fleece-lined for added warmth and comfort.
  • Excellent coverage.
  • Stays in place even on very active dogs.
  • Highly durable.
  • Optional waterproof hat available.
  • It is lightweight, flexible and moves with your dog, is super warm, can be worn in many conditions, and is WATERPROOF
  • The garment is unisex so that male and female dogs can go to the bathroom without having to adjust the garment. Females have absolutely no problems. Males, due to their different anatomy, can have the abdominal zipper slightly undone to prevent them from urinating into the garment. The zipper is a non-travel/locking zipper.
  • Easy to put on and take off.
  • There have been no reported matting with the Waterproof riansuit and Arctic Fleece or Safety vests.
  • This is a tough as nails garment. The material is super tough, yet flexible and comfortable.
  • This material is incredibly tough. In fact we are using it on our Hunting Vest. That garment takes incredible punishment each day with hunters. The material is a waterproof exterior bonded to a super soft fleece material. It is waterproof and wind proof, but yet is super comfortable, flexible and breathable.
  • The waterproof Bodysuit is completely waterproof. It is NOT a wet suit. So, we do not recommend using this intentionally in the water.
  • The Waterproof Bodysuit works great in the snow- for dogs with longer coats or short coats. It will reduce your dog’s exposure to ice and helps to prevent those terrible snowballs from forming on your dog’s legs and abdomen. The Waterproof rainsuit can dramatically reduce the amount of time you spend cleaning your dog after a romp in the snow. Plus, it is THE warmest garment on the market.
  • The material is color fasted. However, we recommend that after you are satisfied that the fit is correct, wash the Waterproof Bodysuit in cold water and line dry. This will ensure there is no bleeding of color onto your dog’s fur.
  • Wash the garment in cold water, gentle cycle, with minimal detergent-or Woolite. Line dry. You can place the garment in the dryer on low head also. Wash as little as possible to extend the life of the waterproof coating on the material.

 Adjustable Neck Strap:

Use our Velcro strap to adjust the neck of your garment to be comfortable - yet firm for best fit. As long as you can get 2 fingers inside the neck, your dog will have freedom to breathe and move without limitation. The adjust able neck strap is a feature of all our quality garments.

Adjustable Top Strap:

Use the exclusive top line strap to shorten the length of your garment to perfectly fit your dog.  The Top Strap Adjustment is a standard feature of all bodysuits; Lycra, Arctic Fleece, Waterproof & Cascade.

How to measure your dog:

We encourage you to use our measurement guide to be sure that you select the right size for your dog.

1. Top Line - Measure from the middle of the shoulder blades along the back bone to the dock of the tail.

2. Girth -- Measure the distance around the girth from just behind the front legs.

Compare your dog's measurements with those recommended by the sizing chart to determine the most appropriate size for your dog. If your dog's measurements fit into more than one category, use the Top Line measurement alone to select the best size.

"Need to Modify your K9 TOP COAT?"

Modifications of the K9 TOP COAT are easy. Our special design and superior materials and construction allow a wide variation of modification options. You simply need a pair of very sharp scissors, and your specific tailoring needs.

First, you can cut the garment without causing the material to roll or run. If you desire to finish the cut ends, you can-or you can leave them as is. The choice is yours.

You can make a short sleeve version easily by just trimming the sleeves to the desired length. We intentionally did not make a "short sleeve" version because there is such a wide definition of what 'short sleeve' is on a dog. So, make the sleeves any length you need.

The short sleeved version is great for older dogs that do not have as much flexibility, or for Veterinarians with dogs that have had only abdominal surgery and do not need full coverage. Also, the short sleeve version is perfect for show dogs that need to keep their coat flat and clean.

You can also modify the K9 TOP COAT for a "Front version" only. This is ideal for dogs with shoulder or thoracic surgery, or for dogs with wounds/hot spots on the front of the body or legs.
